Gold Coast's best Hand Therapist by Channel 7 Sports

1 October 2018

It's not everyday you get a phone call from Patty Welsh wanting to know who Dave Coles is and why he hasn't heard of him before?

It all started with Dani Stevens. The legendary Australian discus world champ. Dani was the youngest ever discus world champion and the current Commonwealth Games gold medalist. She had a goal of reaching a massive 70m throw but earlier in the year she developed some pain in her wrist. Her pain became increasingly worse, not even being able to chop her vegetables. Her worry of never competing again was becoming pretty real.

Luckily she had a great team around her and they directed her to our clinic. David was able to work his magic. He was able to reduce her wrist pain and get her back training at the gym.
Dani was so thankful for the care that our team provided she gave us a pretty big rap to Channel 7.

Hand Therapists treat all sorts of injuries. Not everyone has heard of them and what they do. They are experts of any injury from the fingers to the shoulder. Tingling in the fingers, a dislocated thumb, wrist pain, sports injuries or arthritis stiffening - all these things improve after seeing a Hand Therapist.

Dani is back competing and has her sites set on 72m in Tokyo 2020. Can't wait to see her at the world championships in 2019. She is a lovely person and our team will be cheering her on!!
