Shawn McDowell has completed his Full AHTA Membership

Congratulations to Shawn McDowell one of Active Hand and Upper Limb Therapy's Occupational Therapists. Shawn has recently completed his full membership to the Australian Hand Therapy Association.
To become a member, therapists must have met all of the AHTA conditions:
- Practising qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a minimum of three years equivalent full-time experience post graduation
- Current national registration with AHPRA
- A current Associate of the AHTA for 12 months, or other IFSHT recognised association
- Minimum 3600 hours experience as a practising hand therapy clinician within the last 5 years
- Letter of recommendation from a Member of the AHTA or AHSS
- Completion of 300 hours of professional development / education within the maximum time frame of the last five years, or current Certification of Hand Therapy (CHT) credential
The AHTA allows patients and clinicians to search for experienced Hand Therapists within the nominated area.
