Partnering with Bond University

26 February 2019

Active Hand Therapy is excited to welcome the first lot of students from Bond University for the year!

The Physiotherapy students enjoyed the off-campus day at Active Hand and Upper Limb Therapy. The small groups shadowed our Doctor of Physiotherapy, Mikayla, whom was able to give a taste of what a Hand Therapist does on a day to day basis.

The focus this year was on splinting, exercise programs and oedema management. The sessions involved lots of hands on tutorials and shadowing our therapists with their current patients.

The Southport clinic has a huge open plan therapy space as well as private rooms which were utilised for this teaching day.
