Bond University Hand Therapy

10 May 2018

Last month Active Hand Therapy ran a course for a group of Occupational Therapy students from Bond University.

This full day workshop was run by our extremely knowledgeable director, David Coles. He covered topics such as:

- Biomechanical Dysfunction

- Range of Motion

- Splinting - theory and practical

- Wound and Scar Management

- Tissue Healing

- Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis

- Functional Capacity

- Oedema Management

- Hand Therapy as a specialty

The students were really engaged with the hands on approach that David uses. It is always exciting to see people that are just starting out in their career. We try to give them a glimpse of all the exciting possibilities that the profession holds.

If you are interested in attending a course or would like to book a group please contact dee@activehandtherapy.com.au. We have purpose built therapy stations that allow students to work in groups or individually while the lecturer can view and support. We also have full conference facilities and refreshment rooms available.
